Whisper to me from across the hill
49”x 53”x24”
Madrone, Manzania
Influenced by Thomas Moser’s alienation bench. Two seats are carved adjacent from one another creating a bench where you are seated physically close to another but not facing one another.
The crest shape and the bench facets lines were pulled from a topographical map of Fort Bragg, Ca. Where I was living in the time the piece was built.
The playful lines and forms emphasize the surrealist nature of the work. Playing with the way one looks and feels about there immediate place, space and position that they are situated in.
